The 2007 Shelby GT500 Professional Road Racer is Ford Racing’s 5.0 Liter Cammer engine powers this race version of the Shelby GT500. It is just one of many numbers that this Shelby GT500 uses to determine the difference between the avid racer and the coinsure.
When they named this Shelby a Professional Road Racer, they did it fora reason, as it is no casual observer. This is a vehicle that lives to race. In fact, it was prupose built for that very reason. A modification of the 2007 Shelby GT500, it’s design intent harkens back some 40 years ago, to a time when Carroll Shelby and the team at Shelby Automotive build eight drag cars to comete on the old, straight line quarter mile battlefield.
Those cars were modified in consideration with of the NHRA rule book with sharp attention paid to better straight line performance and to doing what Carroll Shelby does best: Winning.
