Ford has created factory-built racers that were based on their production cars for many years. Many of those racers have originated as Mustangs and several of those have included Cobra R models. During the summer Ford brought back another variant of the Mustang.

This Mustang variation is from the first generation during the time when the Cobra Jet was reintroduced. The original Cobra Jet was produced with a high-torque long stroke 428 cubic inch and as a drag racing special. This is great news for anyone who was interested in the Jet but never had the chance to test it out, from cheap car insurance experts to those with an impressive car collection.

The new Cobra has been equipped with a 5.4 liter 32 valve V8 supercharged engine That has been based on the GT500 engine. Modifications have been made to the engine to make it more race-ready and the car itself seems to be stripped down. Ford has plans to only produce 50 units of the Cobra Jet – which will be priced at $69,900.
