Roush has produced a new roots style supercharger for Ford vehicles, on that adds horsepower while retaining the full factory warranty. This is the first aftermarket supercharger for the 2005 and newer Mustangs that won’t void the warranty, and is 50 state legal (yes you California enthusiasts can enjoy the extra power as well).

“With the certification now in hand, we can sell the Mustang ROUSHcharger to anyone that wants to add an easy 115 horsepower to their 2005 and 2006 Ford Mustang GT,” said Ryan Bunn, ROUSH Performance parts marketing manager.  “This unit is designed by the same engineering group that has helped Jack Roush achieve so much success in NASCAR racing.”
 
The ROUSHcharger is also the only supercharger unit that is protected by the industry’s leading warranty which covers the balance on Ford’s 3 year/36,000 mile factory drivetrain backing, or one year on ROUSH components for vehicles already beyond this level.
 
This system has been extensively dyno tested and provides gains of 115 horsepower and 65 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel (at just 5psi of boost).  The unit fits both manual and automatic vehicles and comes complete with all necessary hardware, brackets, fasteners and instructions with an estimated installation time of eight hours.  The ROUSHcharger fits all 2005-2006 Mustang GT’s with the 4.6L, 3-valve V8 powertrain system.  Kits will be available shortly to fit the 2007 Ford Mustang GT.
 
Main components include a ROUSH M90 Roots-style supercharger, intake manifold, air-to-water intercooler system, high-flow fuel injectors and induction system.  In addition to this hardware, the key to maximizing performance is the upgraded ROUSH PCM calibration.  ROUSHcharger owners must ship their PCM unit to ROUSH Performance for the necessary calibration.
