Steeda AutosportsSteeda Autosports helped the Mustang Club of America celebrate their 30th Anniversary at the fantastic Barber Motorsports Park this past Labor Day weekend. For the past eighteen months, event director, Steve McCarley and his cadre of talented Mustang enthusiasts worked hard to create and execute an event that would attract Mustang enthusiasts from all over the world, and they were extremely successful. The Stampede with three days of open track, a cruise, car show, plus a large number of vendors was a Mustang enthusiast dream event.

Steeda Autosports entered two cars in the open track, the awesome 580 horsepower Q 525 and the always impressive 2001 Q 400. Both cars took part in the cruise through the beautiful Alabama countryside to the town of Homewood. Never in the history of this quaint berg have so many Mustangs (hundreds) filled the main street and adjoining parking areas. A sight to excite any car enthusiast, no matter what their brand of choice. A fun evening for everyone.

The open track event was the perfect venue for Steeda to continue testing and evaluation of new performance parts on both the Q525 and Q400. Since founding the company in 1988, President Dario Orlando has made sure that all Steeda performance parts are competition proven before they are offered for sale. “ We know from our experience that if the parts prove out on the race track, they will excel on the street” Dario stated.

Under the expert tutelage of MCA members and open track veterans Larry Kilgore and James Ray, the three day open track went off perfectly. Steeda was very proud to have both John Moore’s Rick Ciemny’s Q 335s chosen to be the pace cars for the event. Like all the Steeda Q mustangs these performance cars were equally at home at speed on the track or heading down the Interstate.
